Sierra Nevada Ballet is the official school of Sierra Nevada Ballet (SNB), the professional ballet company for northern Nevada, and the home of the SNB Trainee/Apprentice Program. The Curriculum of the academy is under the direction of Artistic Director Rosine Bena who is internationally recognized as one of only 60 master teachers in the world to be fully certified to teach all levels of the American Ballet Theatre© (ABT) National Training Curriculum and acclaimed as a presenting member of the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science. The ABT curriculum is designed to prepare young student dancers for the professional world of ballet.

SNB offers a fully trained professional teaching staff under the direction of the Artistic Director with a full 7 level curriculum (Beginning through Professional). Ballet and Related classes are offered for male and female students ages 3 and up.

Former dance students of Ms. Bena have gone on to work with Sierra Nevada Ballet, Smuin Ballet, Sacramento Ballet, San Francisco Ballet Silicon Valley Ballet, the Reno Ballet, Columbia City Ballet, Ohio Ballet, the Jazz Tap Ensemble, the Dance Theatre of Harlem, Sarasota Ballet, University of Utah, Marymount Manhattan College, Columbia University, Goddard University, UNR Dance Program and various professional productions and university dance programs.

SNB brings choreographers from East and West US for Brew, Brats and Ballet

Dance students with a desire to study in a professional-level ballet program are invited to apply for admission to the SNB Academy.
